The Museo Nazionale del Cinema inaugurates an exhibition dedicated to Orson Welles, one of the greatest innovators of 20th-century cinema. The exhibition features more than 450 photographs, archival documents, drawings, audiovisual materials, and installations, retracing Welles\u2019s creative journey.<\/p>\n
The exhibition, which unfolds along the spaces dedicated to major temporary shows on the iconic helical ramp of the Aula del Tempio inside the Mole Antonelliana, is structured around the idea of the \u201cmany faces\u201d of Orson Welles, an image that captures the deeply protean nature of an artist capable of constant transformation throughout his life. Director, actor, author, illusionist, radio storyteller, and experimenter with visual and sound language, Welles made metamorphosis both a creative practice and a poetic principle. Masks, disguises, multiplied roles, and shifting identities run throughout his work, defining a figure who used his own face as a space for continuous invention and experimentation.<\/p>\n
